Wine from the Pfalz region originally came to Etterschlag in 1976 when Charles and Mary Steiner Forest Zoo brought a piece of home to Bayern.

Having great confidence in the quality of the wine the Wißmillers carried on the business expanding to include many quality liqueurs and spirits.
